If we look at the future, the main goal for the HAN Formula Student team is to develop an autonomously driven electrical race car. The plan is to start this project in 2020 with the HFS-06.
Therefore second year students studying electrical and automotive engineering at the HAN university of applied sciences of Arnhem and Nijmegen are currently working on autonomous driving. This work is mainly focused on research at the moment.
Later on in the project itself the students will use platforms made by automotive research, containing the Olimexino platform which works with the MATLAB based “HAN coder”. This is our next step towards the automotive future and if you are going to study at the HAN you could be part of it!
